We had a quick interview with our new defensive lineman Will Lydle:

Who is Will Lydle and where do you come from?
I am from Cedar Park Texas. I grew up playing soccer but always knew I wanted to play football because my brother was a college football player. Cedar Park high school in Texas has a lot of great people and a great football program that helped me grow into the person I am today.  I landed in Gunnison, Colorado and played for Western Colorado University football team.  We improved every year and my senior year won the conference championship.

What is your favorite things to do outside of Football?
Outside of football, I enjoy snowboarding, watching and playing soccer, playing video games, hanging out with friends or family, or watching TV.

What is your best memory from Football so far?
Winning the Texas state championship and my team going undefeated at 16-0.  Also, winning the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference championship in college my senior year, the first championship in 23 years. 

What made you choose Helsinki Roosters as your new team for 2023 season?
They are a very professional organization that was up front with me. They have a history of success winning many titles. All of my conversations with Coach Juha were great and further reinforced my belief in the program. 

What would you like to accomplish in 2023 with Helsinki Roosters?
To win a championship. 

What would you like to tell to Roosters fans about the upcoming season?
Come out, have fun, and watch us play.

Tell us something about yourself that people usually dont know about you?
I was a kicker for my high school football team.
